That's why always recommend to people to go with a transformer base LF inverter. One of the guys I know that works for Victron did a nice video by testing a mecer unit against a Victron on his testing scope. Massive difference on the AC output side.
@handsome @pwatts I think comes down on the inverter, it's High Frequency inverter and they are a bit famous making noise. HF inverters got a very high THD and operate between 20 000 and 100 000 Hz.
That's why I always op for Low Frequency inverters. I'm running 2 Low Frequency inverters that...
60 or 70 year old equipment? Russia is a bit of state with the stuff they have. Israel ground equipment infantry is way more advance. They not going to play around.
It's always interesting thing, new people joining the forum groups, first thing they do is, they complain or they take on the big guys with the first step in to the door that's on the forum for years and have experience. :ROFLMAO:
Just heads up, there is allot of scammers now that sell panels that they change the stickers at the back and say it's a "450w" panel and then its rated at 360w or 380w . Here is a post on the other forum where someone was scam 450w fivestar solar panels
I'm running a 10kw array on my roof. 435 x 9 on my North side and is string that I can add more panels. 335w x 9 on the East side and 335w x 9 on the west side. I'm planning to add extra 7 on the North side because this will help more in the winter side and I can add more loads on the inverter then.
Always try to get close to inverter rated output or say 70 to 80% and if you got the roof space, stack it full if your pocket allows it. Why I'm saying this is, say you got a good sunny day, then you can charge the batteries and get them full as quickly as possible, especially like the weather...
Like DACman mention, you need HV battery for the ATESS unit. 30/24 HV is about R175 000. There some other brands of HV batteries but it's still going to cost you some money.
@2wice what brand inverter do you have? If it's one of the bigger brands like Sunsynk and Victron and MLT, you can adjust it to charge at full amps, Lithium batteries charge really fast.
