Y I think that is where your problem lies. Can you manually overide your geyser timer during the day and then see what is happening on your inverter? It wouldn't be so difficult to change the settings on your inverter yourselves. That will save your installer a callout.

Do you run the whole house through the inverter? If not then that might be the cause.

It might be worth a try: what about using a Logitech Harmony or any other learning remote? Maybe there is a little difference which might stop them from interfering?
