    Wooden window frames

In my first townhouse, on a north facing wooden door I used first coat 75% turps + 25% woodoc. Second coat 50/50, third coat 25% turps + 75 woodoc. After 3 years my door still looked a lot better than my neighbors door which he treated yearly. The turps gets sucked into the wood and thereby...

Is it worth switching car tracker services?

The latest "trick" from the insurance is to apply their knock for knock, rule. Your insurance pay your damage and the other parties insurance pays their damage. And you must pay your own excess and your insurance "claim" that they will claim it back from the other party but I don't think they...

Inverter Eskom consumption vs pre- paid meter

Y I think that is where your problem lies. Can you manually overide your geyser timer during the day and then see what is happening on your inverter? It wouldn't be so difficult to change the settings on your inverter yourselves. That will save your installer a callout.

Inverter Eskom consumption vs pre- paid meter

Do you run the whole house through the inverter? If not then that might be the cause.

Marantz remote conflict with Primare amplifier

It might be worth a try: what about using a Logitech Harmony or any other learning remote? Maybe there is a little difference which might stop them from interfering?

Moment medical students find out school will be tuition-free

When I was there, when people ask me if I have adapted, my normal reply was: not very good because I still eat biltong instead of bokkoms, drink beer and not wine and I still have all my teeth. LoL

That place has got a "interesting" way of growing on you. I would love to go back to Dwarskersbos and stay there permanently. You learn to carry a light, wind and waterproof jacket along, even when the sun is burning you to a crisp.

Moment medical students find out school will be tuition-free

Haha you are a bit off target. I used to stay in Dwarskersbos for 5 years, while working at Saldanha Steel. Please note that I had to drive a differt route to work due to burning tyres and "industrial" action 3 times in that five years and that was only between Dkb and Laaiplek. And this...

Moment medical students find out school will be tuition-free

With all the striking, protest action, intimidation of students who wants to attend classes, does it still count? I wonder.

When you rely on help that does not happen.

Haha and to buy from somebody just before they emigrate, didn't work for me. From torn surrounds, noisy Nad tuner to a very weird working Rotel amp. Lets hope the repairs wouldn't cost a arm and a leg.

    How much do cables matter?

Please remember to use a wet bulb thermometer and include the reading in your assessment. Then your victim can truly say "He blinded me with science". Where would the world have been without cables? I wonder. LoL

    Materials for inexpensive speaker isolation

Have anybody tried if there is a difference between white, yellow or orange dot balls?
