So what does the new planned NHS hold in for us?

Thanks for all the inputs. Understand it better. Don't know how they are going to get the money in a already struggling country but lets see what happens.

So what does the new planned NHS hold in for us?

So us who pay medical will continue to pay medical and those who can't afford medical don't have to pay medical but can visit any hospital they want? What about the salaries of the professionals? I heard that public and private doctors will all get the same "salary" and won't be able to charge...

    RCA to 3,5mm earphone jack

I am tired of these cheap thin cables that tear off at the ends. I went so far to make my own with soldering but that also got a short somewhere from twisting and bending. Can anyone recommend good quality but not going to break the bank RCA to 3,5mm cable? I use it to plug my cellphone earphone...

Suitable 24V charger of for garage door motor

That iron block is suppose to be put in the center of the door. I don't know what system you have but I have a centurion setup opening and closing the doors. My doors are those cheap Wispeco doors. Correct me if I am wrong but what I remember about the installation manual is the door alone must...

Suitable 24V charger of for garage door motor

Getting the tension in that spring right needs more than one pair of hands. I tried it on mine once and it was a bit of a mess. I still need to get a contractor who specializes in garage doors to do it. Rather get someone to service the whole door's setup. They will retention that spring and...

Cars with Dipsticks. When to check the oil Hot or Cold Engine ?

Some good theory that came through with recent posts. Thanks for that info which is 100% correct. Everything to do with compression ratio. The higher compression present in the combustion chamber the bigger the chance of detonation. Heat I also picked up with my previous car can cause...

8 oil change dos and don’ts

Over tighten oil filters and drain plugs was always a issue when I serviced cars that was serviced by mechanics. I helped my friend who frequently rotates (sell and buy) cars until he recently got a fancy BMW that has a computer to be resetted, etc. Even his Harley needed a screwdriver through...

Putting too much oil in a car

I properly rinsed a 1 liter Coke bottle with soapy water and also very hot water to get rid of any possibly stickiness left over from the Coke that was inside of it. This I use to properly measure oil when doing services on all my vehicles.

Cars with Dipsticks. When to check the oil Hot or Cold Engine ?

I have a Datsun1200GX as my hobby car. It is parked at my work in a basement parking where there is very little temperature fluctuations. Driven every 3 months for a good distance to get everything circulating and also to run the engine at normal operating temperature for an extended time. Oil...

    Desoldering tips

The adendorff de soldering wick I agree is not the best quality. I also have the light blue de soldering wick which does work a tad better. But at the price and the number of amplifiers I still need to service, I decided to buy this cheaper one and see how it goes. It works OK but the...

    Desoldering tips

when I know the traces are fragile (experienced it with the NAD 3020 I recapped) I prefer desoldering wick. Desoldering pump is OK for modern boards but it tends to jump around when activating the spring of the sucker.

Cars with Dipsticks. When to check the oil Hot or Cold Engine ?

check it when engine is cold and then again when it is hot and let us know if there is a difference in level due to temperature change. I am curious now about the level. I doubt there will be much of a difference.
