Thanks to joetal on the forums, I have a new restoration project on the go. It will be a long term project but I'm certain it will be a heap of fun.

The system:
Speakers: Pioneer CS-05, 10" bass, 4" mid, 2" ribbon tweeter
Amp: Pioneer SA-05 mixer amp
Cassette: Pioneer CT-05 dual cassette player with record
Tuner: Pioneer TX-05 AM/FM tuner, 8 station memory
Turntable: Pioneer PL-05 front loading record player
EQ: MISSING  :help:
Timer: Pioneer DT-32
Rack (or cabinet): Pioneer CB-05

Equivalent original sale price (adjusted for inflation and exchange rates): R60k

Current troublesome areas:
EQ switch on amp needs a clean as it requires fiddling to get it to work.
Tape deck has deck A always running and deck B won't start.
Turntable is in peices and is missing the platter and belt, and needs a new stylus (or maybe a whole new cart)
Tuner has a dead segment in the display.
Bass drivers need a refoam or replacement, still deciding which.
Speaker grilles need new cSony
The cases of all units are sticky/tacky, and turpentine has not taken this off. Could be the paint degrading.
Missing some of the shelving pins.

Everything else seems to be in great cosmetic (7/10-8/10) and working (9/10) condition so far. Even got the original interconects! (Insert comment from cable enthusiast here)

Joetal also kindly donated the Sony CDP-770 that's was bought to go with the set later on in its life.

Photos to come in a while once I'm done reassembling the TT. :rubhands:
