Planning to go dual balanced, already received 2 boards last week Friday.
Firmware is now at V 1.06 : http://www.soekris.dk/download.html
:2thumbs:
Will use non-isolated 500 Mips XMOS board (less power hungry that 16 core/2000 MIPS version), as inputs are on dam1021 are isolated.
Optical input (192K) can be added for $4 (DIYINHK)
Just need to plan how to split appropriate signals. Each board will be configured via serial console to be bal-left/right and balanced output will be obtained from RAW ouput bypassing the opamp/buffers.
There are some switch/input boards available from fellow DIYers at DIYaudio...
Affraid mine will be a plankie until I get help to case it...
Even with 1 board the signal to noise ratio is only 3db better from the buffered balanced outputs and some prefer the RAW unbalanced/unbuffered outputs.
