Nothing new, but a few interesting graphics nonetheless. 

1956, IBM launches it's first hard disk.

RAMAC 350 weighed well over a ton and had a capacity of about 5MB.  That's enough for a couple of low res pics or one 320kpbs MP3 track.

Over time capacity and speed increased, and prices came tumbling down.
