A forum member @theorai and myself were welcomed into @ Drifter home to listen to some tunes (and his system). The whole lot was impressive - the synergy between the Mola Mola dac/preamp/streamer and two mono block power amps, coupled to the Vivid G2 speakers, rocked that space they were in.

What should not technically have worked, worked - one corner reinforces the sound, the other is coupled to a wide open space, so asymmetric. However the sound was balanced sitting in the listening position, a little positional moving around, the order of the day, little nuances come into play, to get the sound just right.

The bass is extraordinary, expected in so many ways from digital amps that does it right, but the sounds were agile, sumptuous, full & fast, a great delight to listen to, even at low volumes. They held that same balance when the volume was turned up. Detail, high resolution, speed, transparency, etc, in bucket loads, a well rounded sound, nothing out of place, no matter the type of music played.

Drifter has achieved a phenomenal setup here and one of the better systems heard in a very long time. Well done @Drifter !

Now, if only he could get some valves in there somewhere, that would take this system to a whole other level. One can only dream….
