I would like some personal opinions regarding speakers. I am in the market for some new speakers, and I guess I would like to buy the best I can. I’ve heard some HE speakers and yes, I like it. But it is completely different to what I am used to. What I get would also need to work functionally in my living room and be safe around a 2 year old.
I’ve been back and forth regarding an amp upgrade or speakers. More and more members are recommended that I get the speakers I want, and reading a few places online, generally people mention to upgrade or buy the best speakers you can.
I am currently running a Primare I22 with a WiiM pro plus streaming tidal and using the onboard WiiM dac. I’ve been looking at the Martin Logan motion 20i, the 40i, the Dynaudio Excite x36 & x38. Dynaudio are second hand, ML is brand new. I am looking for something that will soundstage well, have a good transparent and open midrange with good detail. Has anyone had any experience with these and could recommend or advise on what they experienced? Anything else to maybe looks at?
