    Ok guys, this is for the people that would like an out the box challenge. I see in the above mentioned youtube vid that they push +3v thru the tube. on a low voltage like that, wont the current be lower to? They run that pre amp from a battery yes, but to the gurus out there, +48 phantom down...

    How about a separate battery for current? mmmm, i guess i wont really get away from using an external power supply in an external unit. but tube it must be for them sweet harmonic overtones. takamine has a cool 12au7 built in preamp that runs on 3v, man you must hear those demo's. but alas, no...
