Before you spend money take some prestick, gently place it over the dented section pressing lightly and then pull it off with a fast jerk. Not certain if it will work for aluminium but worth a go.

When it comes to receivers I will stick with Brands like Onyko, Marantz, Denon, Yamaha, Sony, Pioneer etc. I am bias towards Onkyo since I only had good experiences with that brand. I would check out the classified section and wait for a good second hand one that will meet your requirements.
