Interesting question I had the same cartridge on the rp1. The Ortofon 2m blue changed the way I listened to vinyl on the rp1. I listened a while back and compared the ortofon blue on my rp1 next to a p3 with elys on and the ortofon kicked ass in certain aspects. Now moving to the p3 I ordered...

I have done the blue upgrade on a stock rp1 and was one of the best improvements I have heard. At HFX I listen to a Planar 3 with Rega Bias on and my RP1 with 2m blue kicked butt.

New album very good make think of Soul Cages one of my favorite albums.
