So I ended up swapping out the unit and it looks like it was a hardware fault. New one calibrated levels correctly.  Thanks for all the input.

On the latest firmware

Performed a microprocessor reset. Reran audessy and same results. All my levels set to +12. Not sure if this is a bug

Tried another mic and still all +12.  Then moved the primary listening position to 30cm away from Centre speaker and turned sub volume to 15:00.  The distances are calculated correctly but levels are all 12 again accept for Centre ( now 11) and sub ( now 6). How do I perform a processor reset?

First measurement position is the central primary listening position. Going to try another mic. If problem still exists will try your recommended test.

@windshear medium size room. Used all 8 measuring positions. Placed mic at ear height. Ambient noise was low during testing. No other components in the mix. I'm going to measure levels using the internal test tone and see what it reads

I can always go and change the levels but does this have any affect on the audessy settings? I'm guessing it will affect the "corrected" reference level that audessy has stored

Would it be better to stick with the 2310 and get a decent power amp to drive the mains via pre outs?

Been using Aimp on my PC and I run xbmc on my HTPC. Most of my music is streamed now through the browser. Deezer with the HD option enabled.

The only problem with the coricraft couches are the hard foam cushions. Not very comfortable. We ended up swapping our cushions with one of the display units as they were way softer.
