Those thumb nail pics are cached on the hard drive,and has been indexed. Best is system restore pc to a earlier date. Longer route is remove indexing,uncheck all media players file asociation,reboot,then re-check all file types. But rather just do a sys restore 1st.

Glad its sorted,had exact problem some months ago,now I never skimp on quality rca's.

Ok,reason I ask is if digital out works,can use avamp dac, but would hdmi out work in conjunction with digital out? Hdmi sends video and sound,so why would hd pvr have you send say a hdmi to tv,and digital audio out to avamp?

On the older Pace hd pvr decoder,does the hdmi work? And the optic/digital audio outputs? And scart? I know the usb port is disabled.

I would try and get one with a digital audio output(bypass the dac),and connect that to avamp

why would external dac be better ? software on laptop also upscales same as external dac. just want details as to why. laptop will use its cpu to do the upscale proccess ,same as a external dac . so where is the difference ....?
