So, it seems I'm not the only one whom has picked up on differences, however, the last post in THIS thread, may suggest why.

It's something different and for the most part I prefer TIDAL, but the other day (and this is what sparked a back and forth between solid state and tubes, FLAC and TIDAL) I  found on some tracks via tubes, it can sometimes be a smidgen too much. 

I'm currently paying for both TIDAL HIFI as well as Spotify Premium subscriptions.  Reason being is that there are some out of print limited albums I can no longer get and then also Spotify live albums I really enjoy that are not available on TIDAL.  Comparing albums on TIDAL to my own red...

No Theme Reviews did an extensive review of the BX4 across multiple videos.  He seemed to favour it over the more expensive Oriolus BA300s. 

Check with thomas24 if he still has one for sale.  Doesn't have the nice big display and USB in is on the side, which I personally don't like, but will do what you need it to.

I have, Spitfire MK1 DAC + Cute Beyond HP amp and Supplier PSU. You may notice a "blacker" backgound, but to be honest, the best upgrade I made to this little setup was upgrading the stock op-amp with a Burson Audio V3 at the time.

Have you considered the budget range Grado's? The SR80e's are reasonably good and withing your budget.

Open or closed back? May also want to mention the source you'd mainly be driving them from and what your musical preference.
