Would the onboard graphics on a GA-H97N with CP-iH4690S i5 3.2ghz be sufficient for Steam? Buying a next gen console just doesn't seem a viable option at the moment. A large case isn't either so I'm a bit torn between the two.

For a dose of reality TV - On the insistence of the GF we've been watching Masterchef and Masterchef Junior. I started off by watching out the corner of my eye but am now fully engrossed.

Daredevil is in a completely different league i.e. it's not for kids. Might be a bit too violent and gory for some. That being said, I wasted 2+ hours going to see the new Avengers movie. It was sappy, drawn out and the 3D made it worse.

I've tried Netflix a few times and was only able to view 720P on a 4Mbps line.  My preference for HD content led me to alternative streaming/download providers. I'm onto E04 of Marvel's Daredevil and it's absolutely brilliant so far. What really sets it apart is the HD audio. Daredevil is blind so his heightened sense of hearing is audibly portrayed and it will blow you away!

No. Appreciably better. Black levels are far better. The unit runs cooler. It's slimmer and easier to wall mount. You won't find a comparable 60' LED at that price. I'm in JHB if you want to have a look first.

Couldn't continue watching Last Man on Earth past E05 as it has become unbearably cringeworthy. Someone let me know if it improves.
