Looking for a Mullard 6080 valve please

you can build a crack clone with two EL36. output impedance will be lower as well.

    DIY Precision fidelity C7A

Made a new layout, this one has significantly less trace length and ground planes on both sides. Added grid stoppers as well on the most sensitive positions for good measure. My idea was to either order this version myself and test, or make available PDF plots from bottom and top layers so...

Looking for a Mullard 6080 valve please

Those are very nice tubes, their pinout is the same as the common EL34/KT/6L6 series of tubes. Their triode specs are quite similar to 2A3 or 6B4G without the downside of being directly heated (filament hum and all) the E235L in particular is family  and pets friendly, being topcap-less I only...

Looking for a Mullard 6080 valve please

Yes they are. but mind you your working with a series stabilizer valve. I like to use them in their original application. Nothing like regulating all the voltages in an amp.

I see now, the traces are way too long for this iteration to work well enough. Il have another go at it this week following the original layout example, and using my secret weapon, the TopoR router.

    Mullard and Kenrad 6sn7

Mullard never made 6SN7 but the Philips organisation made ECC32. Which can either be a coke bottle style or smoked glass GT style tube. Odds are that what you have is a rebrand, without pictures its impossible to tell exactly what you have.

    ECL82 valves for Sansui 220

you can run PCL82 off a doubler, those TV tubes are 100% identical except for the heater.

    E80CF and a new phase-splitter

You can run PCF82 with a dropper resistor in place of ECF82, if you need any let me know, i have over 100, same for most of the other series tubes. You can have them for postage.

    The E80L valve

I have about 50, and ive used them in single ended in the past, you are right, they are an excelent tube, and cheap as chips over here(Holland) E83F is another tube that i collect, and its Telephone derivative 18042 (18V heater) great little driver in triode mode.

Looking for a Mullard 6080 valve please

Mullard never made any 6080's to my knowledge the ones that are stamped mullards are either Philips ECC230 or rebranded GEC Hammersmith tubes. I prefer Tung-Sol 6080's I'm gonna let you in on a little secret, the TV output PL36 is quite similar to one half of a 6080 in terms of mu and cathode...

    DIY Precision fidelity C7A

Made a start on the power supply, figured a tube regulator would produce too much heat. So solid state it is, but the supply should be brown-out proof which means active regulation is out of the window. Heres the heater supply, L200 based so it has current limit. Heres the HT supply, just a...

    DIY Precision fidelity C7A

Ive done the layout, but someone has to go over it with a microscope. Caught an error, Anode of V2A and grid of V3B where unconnected. Schematic. Left and right channel are identical, here the error is obvious if you look. Board with dimensions, M4.3 mounting holes 1/5'' out from the...
