Yip the yamaha is a great amp it does 160 watts @ 4 Ohms. So I get really good power to them  :thumbs:

So demoed both rx8 and the silver 8. While the silvers 8 did have a better overall composition the bass was I'd have to say pretty much the same. The rx8  sounded great I thought that for money they would suit me. Could not justify spending an extra 8k. So I pulled the triger and bought the rx8...

A few months ago I had a chance to get a set of rx6 but I just didn't have the capital a the right monent. ..... guess it just was not meant to be. I have read some people find rx8 to be bassy. I'll demo them and find out

According to the ma  website  the  RX8 IS a 3way  configuration. I'm going to demo them today and there will be silver 8's there as well.  What's drawing me in is a massive saving 8k +

18k been played a bit in a shop  they will still honour the warranty in black wood

Okay seems like there is a  50/50. So it's the wharfedale diamond 240= 8k or monitor audio rx6=10k or paradigm monitor 11 v7= 12k
