    Technics SL-1300 Help needed, please

So here is a picture from underneath the arm. Look like the stub hits in the larger space. Anyone know if the barrel comes off of the tonearm. Would be much easier trying to glue it in Sent from my Nokia 3310 using Tapatalk

    Technics SL-1300 Help needed, please

So it looks like the little stub or piece that broke off is what the barrel grooves use to turn on. So that little piece is the only think that keeps the barrel on. Problem now is it looks like i will need to take the tonearm off to be able to glue the piece back on. Never touched a tonearm...

    Technics SL-1300 Help needed, please

That picture looks identical to the one i have. On the bottom of the tonearm there is a part that has a protrusion (Broken off part as shown in the last pic) that by the looks of it, guides the weight along. The protrusion is what grips into the spiral inside the  barrel of the weight.

    Technics SL-1300 Help needed, please

Playing around with the tonearm now and there is a cavity at the bottom. This little piece just fell out. I don't think it would hold by gluing it in place. Has anyone had this issue before and if so are there other fixes to ensure the weight doesn't move around and I can still setup the...

    Technics SL-1300 Help needed, please

Hi all. Found a mint Technics SL-1300. Everything works perfectly, however, I noticed that the tonearm weight doesn't stay in place and moves around. I have a feeling that there is something missing on the tonearm that keeps the weight in place. Everything looks original so I am confident...

    Abyone know about clocks?

I recently recieved this family heirloom and would like to get it into great original shape. Need to understand the best way to clean it up nicely. I think it is solid brass or something like that. Would like to find a clock mechanic that can sorce and fit the corrext mechanics in it. The...

    Removing corrosion from TT platter

Wow. The results are great. I'm going to try and find a polishing disk like that that I could maybe use with a drill. I'm sure that piece of equipment is pricy and not keen to spend on that for a once off job. Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
