    Internet like it should be...

I was lucky enough to experience this when I was in the USA - inside Google office. :) Unfortunately, 4MB line here at home. :(

    Roku streaming?

Apologies. :). I can't recall who told me they had got one and were really enjoying it.

I'm sorry for all the posts, I'm not sure how to multi quote from Tapatalk on my phone.  Apologies. Is Jeff from Jeff's Hifi Shop in PE possibly on forum?  I think I need to go pay him a visit again. He was incredibly helpful!  I recall seeing a few Monitor Audio products there. As well as...

Rodga, certainly makes sense.  As for 7.1. I know you said you were heading that route.  I could possibly move our couch forward a bit if we had to go 7.1.  I'm guessing the fact that I could maybe get 0.5m max distance behind us would be ok?  And behind the speakers would be glass windows that...

The Wharfedale 10.0 HCP seem like a super good buy, but is the bargain worth is as they not quite as good as the 10.1's for eg.  And I think I'm wanting to budget for 10.1's and a little better possibly.

Andre, posting from my phone, so searching can be slow at times.  But what would one be looking at roughly, so a good secondhand set of 685's?  As mentioned earlier, I like to match things up, so a good idea would then be to move them to the rear and get the 683's up front.  Then matching centre...

Hi Kamikazi, Yeah, as mentioned, think I'll save a little more.  As for music, I know everyone hates it when you say you listen to a mix of things, but I would say predominantly pop & rock genres.

Hi Francois, That might be the plan. I am soon realising that you can't get much for R2k.  Maybe some Wharfedale 10.1's secondhand with a little change. I might be better off saving say R4k and then looking for a bargain, maybe say some BX2's and matching centre.  Or something else for that...

    Roku streaming?

If I'm not mistaken, I think Rodga has a Roku 3.

Guys, would starting off with a set of MA BX1's at the front work?  I believe they better suited as surrounds? Also, what is everyone's feelings on Polk Audio?

Hahaha. I think I'll have to leave the B&W stuff for my last upgrade, in 30 years time. :)

For sure, can appreciate that.  I suspect I would fall into the first category.  I'd like to eventually have a really nice setup in place, that I can enjoy.  But I don't think I will upgrade every 6 months trying to have the latest and greatest.

I remember you saying so on the VWCSA forum.  I've got a bad feeling the bug is going to bite harder and harder and I'm going to land up upgrading a few times. :) Thankfully, I think.... I've got enough control, for now, to try and keep to a budget.

Some local set-ups to die for!

Wow. It's incredible to think that such awesome hardware can be had for a fraction of the price!  It's still a lot of money, but when you consider what you're getting, it's almost unbelievable. :)

I probably jumped the gun a little in my earlier post about the discounted WDale stuff. I read this review and it put me off the 10.0's a little - http://www.whathifi.com/Review/Wharfedale-Diamond-10-HCP/. I think I would be better off saving more and spending more second hand on something a...
