Thanks Gerhard I got mine from The Flooring Company in Boksburg, next to Builders Wharehouse...so many to choose from ....I am sure they will have. On special they sell for as low as R130 per square meter. The cheaper thinner 6mm boards without the rubber/foam backing works better when gluing...

hi Its only the top 1mm that's very hard, they cut easily with a jigsaw...cut them to size and leave around 3mm or so...glue them to the mdf  and once dry use a flush trim router bit to flush trim....the bearing will run on the supawood in the middle. I destroyed 2 bits on the shelves in the...

Hi Atjan The shelves I made from 16mm supawood sandwiched and glued between two layers of laminate flooring( 8mm thick) ...at 32mm these are very solid. Oak strips on the edges. I decided against veneer as the laminate is more durable?I just had to look around for flooring without the grooves...
