    Power amp and processor

Hey Sasquatch - yip power amps only need to be changed when you make a big change to your speakers or when you get infected with spendalitus... ;D  I've changed my processor about 5 times and could have kept the same power amps...and I didn't have to spend huge money each upgrade. Power-...

    Power amp and processor

Hey Power 1- basically comes down to quality of the processor, having a dedicated processor for HT is normally only found on the high end units per manufacture. I've run both for many years and in my opinion you can save yourself a huge lump of cash going with the latest gen 'lower' AV unit and...

    Anyone undertake extensive soundproofing?

It's 9.5 x 6.5 with 2 levels(front and back seats) , if I could do it over I would go a bit bigger..? And change a few things. I was building a few rooms at the time so the cost was part of the total build. Basic build without finishes etc was around 350k for 130 squares. This was in 2008.

    screen size ??

How far away are you going to sit ? For movies I prefer a bigger picture, it adds to the who experience... But if your too close it's like sitting in the front row.... :o.  Although if it was a movie with kate beckinsale in I wouldn't mind...

    Jamo C809 owners ...

I had the previous Jamo's (d590) and it also had the bi wire capability. You don't need to use it on the amp side or the speaker side.... But ... If you own a fairly good amp and have fairly good cable you will be surprised what a difference it can make. For some reason on the amp I had it...
