@seans why would one avoid  mdf?

Im not after any specific build but rather want to get together a list of suppliers for the various components required in a DIY loudspeaker build. In saying that though, Im thinking on the linkwitz lx-mini and overnight sensations.

I also came across soundflower but see its been succeeded by a paid app. I installed and setup jack for mac os. Its my understanding that these are the same function? If I use soundflower/jack for audio routing, then Im still missing a dsp function if Im not using DAW software? for example, if...

Has anyone managed to get a Mac software based dsp running as software inside Mac OS ? I would like to do this on all other programs that use audio in the Mac so dsp is applied everywhere. Thanks

@mygoggie nah, I just butchered / cutout the std case to fit the dac. Looks terrible....sounds great!

Perhaps a slightly different question related to the music source: which music/production studio today are fully analog? I mean from recording live instruments on analog media for sequencing and then arranging and mastering in the analog domain, and then rendering/mixdown to analog as well like...

If there is any phase shifting it would have to be in the program material/ music and done in the production studio, but I would guess few degrees on certain music channels [vocals for example] and not all channels [like you mention phase shifting on low frequencies I find impedes power output...

I setup hdmi cec and now all remotes (marantz, hisense, appletv and Xbox dvd ) work with all cec devices including kodi

Xbox dvd remote works great for me. Mostly use Kodi remote app though. Universal remote also learned Xbox dvd remote

I use unotelly. It?s not a bob service but allows me to geohide and so Netflix and Hulu work at home. Nordvpn came highly recomm need to me also.
