Will be getting a headphone amp so it should not be an issue.

I need some advise on getting a headphone for work. I want good sound quality but minimize noise pollution into the office space. Budget is around R3000 just for the headphones. I have looked at the Beyerdynamic DT770 250 Ohm. Is there anything else I should consider?

I have some of both. I have an older classic Naim amplifier and a newer Naim integrated. The older amps sound very different from the newer one. The older amp is more coloured but is enjoyable to listen to. I believed Julien Vereker tuned the sound to what sounded good to him on the components...

These are always a lot of fun and a highlight in the year, My current projects are not far along so it would depend when it is.

Two 42V 500VA centre tapped transformers. What will the effect of the higher voltage be? Will it run hotter?

Ian, Probably a stupid question but is there any way 42VAC transformers can be used for the power supply?
