Thanks Guys.  Have arranged to take my amp to Dewaldaudio next week.

I have a Steinhart Fidelio amp that is over heating. Is there anyone who can offer advice or know somebody that still servivces these amps.  I live in Pretoria. I want to keep my Steinhart going. It still sounds fantastic.

Have you thought about going for a DIY project. I built a pair with input by Madisound in the US, who also designed and made the cross overs. They supplied drivers from Scan Speak.  I made the cabinets but any cabinet maker could do a decent job.  The end result would be better than almost...

The amp has been repaired by a local enthusiast, and sounds great.  The cap connections were corroded.  With Stenhart amp prices dropping I would like to buy another 100w power amp and bi amp.  Anybody got one to sell?  Alternatively maybe someone has a 200w amp they would like top sell?   

I have managed to find someone in PE, who has agreed to look at the amp. Thanks for the feedback, I now have another few contacts. If we are unable to repair can someone recommend a valve pre and power amp around a similar price range.  Thanks

-+ I have a Steinhart pre and power amp, which has become noisy. Evidently Gunter Steinhart has closed up shop.  Can anyone refer + *to a service agent who can do repairs to these amps. I don't want to replace as they are the best amps I have ever heard.
