??? Replaced my Harmon Kardon Cd player with Cambridge Audio DVD player. Comparible sound quality and imaging but resolution seems to be lacking. Is it true that DVD players cannot match sound quality of CD players? Should I rather buy a dedicated CD player?

;) Bi-wired my Mission M34i's. Made a huge difference to imaging. Bi-wiring does help.

Agree 100% that studio mixing is main cause, but this seems more prevalent on local pressings. Non of my imported CD's are bad but most of my local Cd's are terrible sounding on my system.

The quality of service sucks in most specialised stores. Been buying a famous spesialized brand for over twenty years. Lightning damaged my cd and music amp. Insurance paid out (R22 000,00). Went to new store in Centurion Mall that stocks said brand. Even though I was only customer in store...
