The HDMI board on my 807 also went - repaired under warranty, with a snotty return note saying it will only be repaired once under warranty. - but cost a fortune in courier fees. Make sure you know where everything is before starting - and where the water is going to go... I had to replace a leaky pipe recently - and my radiator doesn't have a drainage bolt - pulled the pipe at the bottom and the water went everywhere it wasn't meant to go.

I might try and see what it does, although the manual specifically advises against it - it states that the back surrounds should be set the same as the surrounds, but that won't work in this case.

Thanks - nothing on the active surround speaker except a setting for floor, table or shelf. I didn't think it would cause damage to the active speaker, as its basically a separate amp and would require it's own gain settings to match the Onkyo - but nice to confirm. Hopefully have time to test...

I'd be making this the insurers problem - if they chose them. I've also found that certain companies respond differently depending on which insurer they're dealing with, some they know they won't get away with bad service, others they know don't care.

It'll be interesting to see what comes from them in April this year with their annual increase.
