Hi guys and girls, friend of mine has a valve amplifier that needs a fair bit of TLC, unfortunately there isn't any places around Klerksdorp to take it to get it looked at, did also ask F_D. Here are some photos of the amp. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Ended up getting a Bentley Acoustics subwoofer, significant upgrade over the Velodyne for music, The velodyne does do movies better though. Thanks BiZKiT for the assistance and demo of all the nice goodies at your place

Another thing to consider, it's still a few days before payday.

Goshdarn space limitations, even if this set had the FR100's for front's it would still be a fantastic deal, though something I'd actually be able to use in my limited space

Unfortunately I don't have space for floorstanders, though I will replace the polks with some bentley fr100s at a, later date. Wil a pb1000 be an upgrade over the velodyne

So I've been using my Velodyne Eq-max 12 for quite a few years, and I feel it's time for an upgrade of sorts, the subwoofer is used for a mix of movies, gaming and music, so something that would work well with that would be ideal. I do enjoy the sound of my JL Audio 12w3v3 in a sealed enclosure...

Seems I might have missed out on a bargain before I saw it, either way still curious on the performance of these subwoofers, can't find a review ANYWHERE on them, which is strange

A new subwoofer and some Hifiman DEVAs

I'm looking to upgrade my Velodyne sub to something else, and have seen the new wharfedale subwoofer range is going for a pretty decent price for the specifications. https://www.wharfedale.co.uk/sw-15-2/ Has anyone tried or heard these before?

I'd say go for the family discount ;) that's a lot of kit for the money and yes you will be able to upgrade if/when you want. Though keep in mind that systems do sound a bit different in different rooms. So they might sound better or worse in your place.

Greetings, why not rather look at a second hand option? You get a lot more value for money that way. That's how I got most of my system :D Keep an eye on the classifieds there are always pretty good deals. Some stores also have pretty good deals...
