This is the reason for my slow progress !. Rockey is on top of my keyboard the minute I sit down to do anything on the PC. He stares at me until I give him headbutts This is quite common I believe, so after trying to pay a few bills, I'm off to bed. I'll continue tomorrow night..promise. ;D

Thanks G. It's part of the fun to experiment with different products and learn on the way. Also, not having a deadline let me work at my own pace to get each stage as perfect as i could.

Thanks for the info. I'm no expert with a spray gun, but quite handy with rattle cans. As I mentioned, I was concerned about the MDF edges which are like sponges for paint, but sanding sealer really does wonders for preventing that. You do need at least 3 coats with proper drying time though.

Thanks for the info. Coming up soon will be how I got the crossovers sounding the way I wanted them. It's a whole story on its own, but it worked for me.

    Banggood quality DAC?

Sound Devices don't make handheld portable recorders. If that's what you're after, then look at Zoom H range. Some have line in's and will record to an SD card at various  user selectable sample and bit rates. They don't have digital outputs though. Older Tascam HDP2 and DR680 have that option...

What's a pair of EA's without their matching stands ?  ;D I also only had one initially, but Andre had its twin, so thankfully he was kind enough to sell it to me and ship it up. There's lead shot in plastic tubes that fill the uprights, and they were brittle with age, so my son's rugby socks...

    Acoustic Energy AE2 build.

I'm not a big fan of rustoleum paints, but they were the only brand that have a textured range ( that I know of ), so " aged iron " it was going to be. When this stuff goes on it looks terrible for a minute or 2, and then suddenly it comes alive and the effect is amazing. This does need a good...

Then a coat or 2 of matt black before the final textured coat.

Once that was done, it was time to seal the outside. I had a look at a lot of tutorials on Youtube, as I believe sealing MDF edges is quite a mission. 3 coats of Plascon sanding sealer with a light sand in between coats did the job, and after 2 coats of Plascon primer, the joints were invisible.

Here we have the completed box, and the next step was to pour the resin mix angled at 4 degrees on the top, bottom and sides. For those that don't know, AE used a " cement " mix as they called it, to have non parallel sides to stop standing waves and to add weight and strength. The cement in the...

    Wireless charging

I don't trust them. My old S10 actually swelled up and split the casing. I just use the original Samsung USB C charger at home which charges extremely fast, and a 2.1A car charger when on the road with my S20.
