My gaming machine is a core 2 duo 2.4g, with a 120g OCZ vertex 3 SSd and a gefore 650TI gfx card. I run almost everything at 2560x1600 resolution on pretty high settings. In summary, use the budget for gfx card + SSD over a crazy processor for gaming purposes.

No I haven't, BUT, I have tried with the GFX card removed and using both the VGA / HDMI and analogue outputs from the mobo and none of them worked when the problem was showing itself. So in summary, there is a very high chance that the mobo itself is cooked.

So I live in Tanzania, IF I could find the same board locally, it would easily be double the price. That is a big IF, I'd rather just order it from amazon. I always have friends coming and going from the US so I could def get it back to them if it was faulty.
