Yep, done that too. Same result. Although, 2 days ago I did another format re-install and its working perfect so far. I havent done any windooze updates yet, but I will see if I do if it bricks it again...

OK, I tried the nircmd files, It did absolutely nothing. It gives me no error messages when I do it, so now i am confused. I got other things working perfectly with nircmd so i know its not just a user error ;) @Skylark 1. LCD - nope, but I have tried directly into the amp without the LCD...

I also tried with another cable and it was exactly the same :-(

Yeah, that IS a weird one. But still, Audio is my biggest gripe for now, I can at least use vga in full HD.

Nope, but thats a great idea. It would be weird if that resolved it but what-the-hell. It's certainly worth a try. Last resort I guess would be to format the machine again, do a re-install etc and get it working perfectly, then make a clone / restore point for future.

No, I dont think that is it as it doesnt work from the mothrboards HDMI port either. However, the amp / TV work perfectly if plugged directly into a laptops HDMI, so it really is an issue specifically for this one PC.
