How do you like the Axis now that you have a counterweight? I replaced all the electrolytics on mine because they are mostly toast by now. Also, the Axis power supply is always powered up so it is advisable to switch off power to it when not in use.

I think we should call these amplifiers what they are, fakes. Clones sound almost like they have a right to copy other companies' work. Off course I exclude diy efforts as they are not built with profit motives in mind.

If I were you I would speak to Henk at Tweak Technologies, agents for Pass Labs, D'Agostino and Krell, and find out what you would be able to demo in your system. I would think that something from Nelson Pass could do very nicely.

Check that the decoder 1 is set up for tuners 0, 1 and 2 and decoder 2 for tuners 3, 4 and 5. It could be that the decoders reset to factory settings.

That is a no signal error. Could be caused by bad weather, dish that is out of alignment or a faulty lnb. Did you ensure that the scew of the lnb is optimised when you replaced it?

Although with many of the albums I enjoy, the sequence of tracks is important. Good question though. I have often wondered about that.

Lets just be clear, if you look at the picture of the Dynaudio Special 40 crossover you can see that there are no iron core inductors. It sounds like you have a fixation regarding non-existant iron core inductors in the Special 40 crossover.

I agree with you, but at which price point do we expect excellent crossover components? Vivid speakers are substantially more expensive than the Dynaudio Special 40 and yet they use the same "inferior" components in all their speakers. Audiophile darling Harbeth uses worse quality polycarbonate...
