Thanks for the tip bud. I'd probably just cold blow dry it to get rid of any dust.

That was brought to my attention by Big Bro but never bothered to change it, didn't think anyone would notice. Good spot! My lounge area doesn't allow me to mount the rears at the moment so I'm looking at getting two stands in the near future.

Correct setup of AVR with Apple TV?

Even with CEC off, its still doing that. I'll have to read through the manual when I get a chance and see how else I can connect it. Thanks!

Correct setup of AVR with Apple TV?

Thank you for simplistic advice :-) I've tried that and it still does not work. When I switch the tv on, the AVR is also coming on. At the back of the AVR, there is 5 HDMI inputs - 1. CBL/SAT 2. DVD/Blu-Ray 3. Media Player 4. Blu-Ray 5. Game. HDMI from Apple is currently in 3. HDMI from tv is...

Correct setup of AVR with Apple TV?

Hey guys, I think my setup might be wrong. It is definitely annoying. I have a HDMI cable running from the TV (Hisense) to the AVR. Second HDMI is from Apple TV to TV. The problem is every time I switch on the TV, the AVR comes on as well. I gotta toggle between inputs on the TV while...

We had the proverbial handshake and he delivered and even connected... ah, big bro's hey  It sounds really nice! I tried connecting my phone via the USB slot however it refuses to pick up the phone so I'm stuck playing via BT in the interim. May look at a streamer in the near future...

Here's the advice thread I was dreading

If anyone was wondering why I was dreading this thread, its because of all the acronyms and info that quickly flies past me...  (Had to google these acronyms)

Thanks, that does seem like the reasonable thing to do. BT is frowned upon here - noted! I've had a look at the WXAD-10 that Trashy recommended - its just another bit of tech to add but also uses BT. Would USB-c from my phone to the AVR be the best option?

One can be hopeful. Without changing the structure of the house, how would I overcome this problem if it turns out that it doesn't sound better in my home?

Thank you for the advice. WRT the rooms - his lounge/dinning area is smaller and dense in terms of items in the space - if you get what I mean. I have a bigger open space from the kitchen into dinning area and then the lounge with fewer items so it is spacy and airy. My assumption is that it...

Here's the advice thread I was dreading

Hi Gents and Gals, After a long and hard year, I've decided that I will be in a position to spoil myself for Christmas. Like most, if not all of you here, I love music and listening to it and am passionate about good quality tech to do so. A (probably nice) problem I have is the following: My...
