I never had any experience with blue ray players in the past. I'd like to know if they are any good for stereo music or as transports with an external DAC. A friend of mine is offering me a Nad T587. And seems to be their first generation of blue ray players.

Refoaming seems way to go. Just have to get contacts of guys who can assist with a decent job.

Thanks for suggestions but it seems Mike has a dedicated stereo Nad preamp for me. I'm liaising with him.

Oldish Nad preamps hard to come by. Will a Nad 2155 power amp work well with a Rotel preamp? Or for synergy both components should match? Alternatively which preamps would suit this power amp? Can only rely on experienced members as I don't have any way to audition various combinations.

Inputs appreciated. I'll have to look for well established brand like Harman Kardon etc. I guess

I'd like to hear the views of owner of any range of Thonet and Vander speakers. I was impressed by their entry level Bluetooth speakers hooked to a PC. And can powered speakers be played from an integrated/power/ preamp combo.

The jazz compilation cd viz'Jazzin Around' vol 2 is hard to come by locally. I just wonder if anyone can assist in finding Ng one. I'm still enjoying music mainly from CDs as I'm still lacking behind in as far as advances like streaming etc

I have a pair of Kef Q15 bookshelf spkrs. I do have a mint.Niles SI 275 stereo power amp. But having heard Rotel pre & Nad stereo power amp I was very much impressed with the sound. So I was curious to experiment and see if I couldn't get similar outcomes.
