Just A tip from me .. i have a nas in raid 5 for my stuff and then keep at least 3x Large HDD disks offline (In the cubboard or somewere safe) of the same size eg 8TB/4TB to make regular backups of the NAS (So you have atleast 3x offline copies) .. a bit expensive but at least you won't cry later.
