Postnet and couriers - are they up and running with "our" stuff

DHL kep telling me DVD's not essential.  :sd: They have my Star Wars UHD collection.

What projector screen are you guys using ?

Also have a UHD51, I use a Grandview fixed frame 120.  Picture looks good, thought he only issue is a quirk in the UHD51 to overlay white background / border around the image.  It bleeds  over the black velvet edge of my frame.

What was the last Film you watched?

Oldboy (2003): Good lord. This movie is crazy. I'm sure it has some deeper meaning, but even just taken at face value it is brilliant!

Movie Plot Twists / Reveals that stick with you

Oldboy (2003, Amazon Prime): What a movie this is! Absoloutely insane. Wow. Just wow. The twist in the ending... I have to watch this again.

    tv series

Casa de las Flores (House of the Flowers, Netflix , Season 3) - Third season of a very well made colourful Mexican comedy series. Funny & shocking as always, but lacked the punch of the first two seasons due to one of the main characters dying at the end of season 2. After Life (Netflix...

One important point for is that the Army are not trained for policing, they are trained to kill. There needs to be some supervision from properly trained police to manage crowds and risky situations.

Commercial Landlords / Property Managers (Covid 19)

To quote Rodney Dangerfield in Caddyshack: "Hey what kind of steak is this? You can still see the marks where the jockey was hitting it!" :ROFLMAO:

    advice please

It's pushing the limits. It depends on a lot of factors, but I would not recommend a standard cable. I would highly recommend using either an Active HDMI cable or the Cat6 balun for over 10m for (especially for 4k transmission). I use a 10 metre Active Blue Jeans Cable and it works very well...

    advice please

As mentioned, Firestick straight into the projector woould leave your audio setup out of the loop. Cat 6 HDMI transfer works, but 4k transfer was a bit of an issue (for me).  In my case, the HDMI balun may have been suspect, but as RS4 has outlined, be careful which brand you get (and they are...

Alternative for when there is no fibre coverage in your area.

Overall monthly cost is around 1000 a month which is tailored to  my average total monthly data usage of around 250 gigs a month.  I stayed away from Telkom LTE thus far for the same speed variation reason.  I just got a notice from Telkom that the copper line infrstructure will no longer be...

Commercial Landlords / Property Managers (Covid 19)

Spur Restaurants say they would rather remain shut than trade under Covid restrictions (once lockdown ends). Already told landlords they will be paying zero rental. A very controversial decision. Aslo threatening "to shun"  landlords who close them down. They seem to be spoiling for a fight (pun...

Alternative for when there is no fibre coverage in your area.

I manage the Rain router switching off via a separate smart  plug. I use a Sonoff, but there are several options. I schedule it to switch off at 17:59 and come back on at 23:01. Sent from my SM-J701F using Tapatalk
