What was the last Film you watched?

The first two original XMen movies were excellent. In fact, one of  the few cases where the sequel surpassed the original (and the original was good). Old, but still work well. Sent from my SM-J701F using Tapatalk

What was the last Film you watched?

The remakes that need to happen are ones which were badly done initially.  Remaking and old classic that still holds up doesn't really make sense. I suppose to introduce the film to a new generation of viewers, but as you say, rarely ever better than the original. Sent from my SM-J701F using...

    Heidi: Girl of the Alps

The Disney cartoons were great. Ducktales, Talespin, and Darkwing Duck were my choices. Sent from my SM-J701F using Tapatalk

What was the last Film you watched?

Mudbound (2017, Netflix): Story takes place in Mississippi during World War II. Told from the viewpoint of two very different families who are forced to share a farm. The movie really picks up when the respective family members return from the war. Excellent movie. Tough to watch in places.

Commercial Landlords / Property Managers (Covid 19)

I jsut hope the goodwell flows down the chain and smaller suppliers who depend on the corporates still get paid (something).

The SA Reserve Bank has cut the repo rate by 100 basis points, or one percentage

That will bring some (much needed) relief for people with home loans.

Commercial Landlords / Property Managers (Covid 19)

Well it seems the clothing retailers are dong a bit of horse trading. They are offering the landlors 20% (plus lights and water). Landlords asking for 35%. I think they will probably end up meeting in the middle somewhere. Probably 25...

    Joke for the day

The 5G conspiracies are complete and utter nonsense. There are some wonderfully made videos explaining in  lay-man's terms why 5G is in fact the safest form of cellular data transmission. I urge everybody to please watch this video by Electronic engineer Big Clive explaining clearly how the...

Commercial Landlords / Property Managers (Covid 19)

For my day to day cell-phone data usage, Cell C has an option where you pay 2000 rand for 200 gig of data that lasts 365 days. It is well worth it, and works very well.

What was the last Film you watched?

Watched two movies yesterday: Papillon (2017 - Showmax): For me, a remake that didn't need to happen (since the original 1974 version is so iconic). The acting is superb, but the use of studio sets, and some visual effects takes away from the gritty realism of being stuck in the unforgiving...

Commercial Landlords / Property Managers (Covid 19)

Although the times are bad, we have to wary against doing anything rash. Each person has a different situation, but perhaps I can suggest a few slight changes to your list: Car Insurance  - Perhaps change to tho purely third party balance. Medical Aid - Change to purely hospital plan ...

Commercial Landlords / Property Managers (Covid 19)

Well here's a bit of a strange one: Article in the Sunday Times Business News today saying Dis-chem (event though still trading in essential goods) have told landlords they will not be paying the rent, until they can work out a fair rate under the restrictive trading conditions. This is turning...

    Data prices

the main bugbear of the recent commission was the data pricing incosistency. Their main issue was the fact that low volume data package prices were way out from the high volume. For example, MTN is selling 20 gigs of data per month at 199 (cost per gig is R10). However, if you wanted to buy one...
