    Heidi: Girl of the Alps

Yes! All those were cool. Brakanjan (aka Dogtanian has a full English voice dub. Episodes available on Youtube. The SABC did very good job with the voice overs as well).

What was the last Film you watched?

Thanks Will have a look. I watched Charlie Wilson's War on Netflix. Interesting movie staring Tom Hanks, set in the early 80's. Story revolves around how an unlikely congressman from Texas led the effort to provide weapons and aid to the Afghan Mujahedeen fighters against the Soviet army.

    Heidi: Girl of the Alps

it seems the Heidi animation was translated to various languages but not English. The SABC released a box set (Along with Maya and Nils Holgerson) but the picture quality was rather poor. (Still fun to watch though). There is a very good picture quality Spanish dub available on youtube...

    Very sad indeed.  RIP.

    Lockdown extended

Yes, indeed. It's a (kind of) bail out. I'm just glad to see that the PLC has somebody at the helm who has tactical nous to amke the most of the situation. No doubt the share prices will recover. It may take some time but, they definitely will come back. However, I'm sure many of these big...

Desktop - entirely new system, or upgrade HDD?

There are quite a few software  options for disk migration and cloning. Some are free, and some are not. I persoanlly use a software called Macrium Reflect. Super simple.  There is a free version and a paid version.  Once a month I do a full image clone of all my laptops and pc's and back it up...

I don't abide by any conspiracy Sir. All I say is that was a very shrewd move. Nothing illegal about it. As I mentioned in an earlier post, just he fact that are buying up shares in the clothing sctor, after the governemnt itself shut down the clothing sector causing share price to fall, leaves...

    Lockdown extended

Not being critical, just commenting that it was a shrewd move to swoop in with the government money, just after the government itself forced all the clothing retailers to close up. I'm fully in agreement, the feelings of anger and desperation are turning the needle in the worng direction. Let...

    Lockdown extended

Can't speak toward an outright conspiracy, but the those who think the government is there to help are deluding themselves. The governement would never let a good crisis go to waste:  The Public Investment Corporation (manager of the Governemnt Employee Pension Fund) just increased their stake...

[Streaming Services] Binge watching vs Weekly Episodic viewing

Netflix pioneered the series that were meant to be binge watched. It then seemed that all streaming services cottoned on to the fact this is how young people want to consume their content. For me this alwyas left me with a big empty void once you cracked through an entire series in a weekend...

    Lockdown extended

That is certainly an interesting viewpoint. I have also noticed this sentiment amongst the Americans where many feel more aggrieved about the removal of freedoms rather than any health concerns. I can tell you this much, my Grandfather was a trader, a self made business man. The business is...

    Lockdown extended

That's fair enough, however there is a tipping point where the harm done by the by the lockdown may exceed that of the virus. As I have mentioned in another thread, we may face a situation in the aftermath of this lockdown where people will be in such a dire situation that they will be begging...

Commercial Landlords / Property Managers (Covid 19)

It has always been common knowledge for a long time (more than 30 years) that the UIF has no money. Not sure where they found the billions from?

Commercial Landlords / Property Managers (Covid 19)

I fall into one of the "going to suffer" categories. Some tough decisions will need to be made. Just got a message yesterday from one of our suppliers in Europe that this months stock shipment is almost ready. It was really heart breaking for me tell them to put all smshipments on hold (some of...

Commercial Landlords / Property Managers (Covid 19)

I feel people are being carried away (I myself was one) by the president's empty words - cleverly crafted by his expert speech writer to sound very "presidential". Those that are putting faith in government getting us back on track, please consider carefully that this is the same government...

Fully understand the curve flattening, but must be weighed up against the staggering impact to the economy. More people may die of poverty and debt stress in the aftermath. Sent from my SM-J701F using Tapatalk
