I have a few different cables that I use interchangeably. What gets me is that I almost always default back to QED Silver Anniversary as pleasant low cost that works. Interconnects is another story. I hear small differences but cant figure out what I prefer best. What reproduces most accurately.

My problem with some of what has been posted above is that it appears the tech specs and measurement results have to perform the "listening" function and say whether the equipment is good for the respective listener. NOPE, your own ears must. (But maybe you dont hear what you hear ??)

All the tech specs produced by whatever is always interesting to read BUT IMO mainly listening to the equipment in various combinations you regard good and enjoy over time is the only test/measure. So the departure point should/would be for me good, faithhful, natural reproduction of the...

ron g +1 Can't agree more. If you have not heard what SET (single ended triode) amps can do, then your audiophilio is incomplete. But they need matching components to shine. That is where I fall short.

There is a good reason to get Vivid's, any Vivid's, rather than the B&W that has not been mentioned. Amplification. B&W 800's require more expensive amps to sound good, to make them work optimally. Not so with the Vivid's up to the K1's. Audio Research valve amps can happily be used to drive...
