I would not recommend Takealot after receiving a bare drive in s a shoe box recently with three air pillows thrown in for 'packaging'. Needless to say it was toast. Replacement came in a book sleeve despite plea's for decent packing.

Hi-Fi Corp. (cringe!) has a Panasonic unit at R1699. Looks like a Denon clone. With a decent set of 2nd hand bookshelves should sound half decent.

Mainly TV series of BluRay sourced HEVC encoded files. Both files (720p and 2160p) report 'Decode format: Planar4:2:0 YUV 10-bit LE'

Is HDR limited to 4K content or is it device dependent? Having recently purchased a HDR 4K TV I have noticed that only 2160p content activates the HDR settings and on screen icon. 1080p and 720p content encoded with 10bit colour depth do not display in HDR :(. Is this correct.

Be aware there are quite a few seriously unhapply Rain subscribers at present (see MyBB forum). It seems the rapid uptake (read double data offer) has seriously saturated their network in some areas. Personally, started well in Oct last year but have noticed a significant drop off in speeds...

VA (Volt.Amps) or Watts. How much power does it require.

I have a MINIX U9H. Octacore, 4k, HDR, Dual band WiFi and x265 playback (main reason for upgrade from WDTV). Not the cheapest out there but should be good for a few years. Distributed by Uniterm so support should be OK. 

Often drove past there on the way home. Often wondered what was inside...

Is this the Explora or Explora2? AFAIK the Explora2 uses the more recent HEVC x265 codec (higher compression) which is why it has a smaller HDD than the original Explora. I don't think the picture quality is quite as good as the old 4ch HD PVR. Especially in fast action sport. Seems to be more...

Which device are you using with the remote? Is this the UniTerm price for the Minix A3? I have the U9H / A2 Lite and had to add a keymap .XML file for the return key to work correctly in Kodi. Still not 100% happy with the remote, some apps don't respond to gestures.

Way out of my depth here. This is for a speed controller for a 10.8v dremel tool. Apparently this component fails if overloaded/overheats. The tools still works, just no speed modulation, which at 10 000 rpm + is bit annoying.

The original STP80NF03L component is available from various suppliers overseas, but not locally (read Mantech Durban). Not keen to wait a month for delivery if a suitable alternative is available locally.
