Vibration Isolation ? Recommended Methods & Materials ?

I invite your recommendations about the methods and materials you consider to be best suited to isolate a computer from peripheral vibration. The heavy computer (c. 22Kg, dry) stands on an integral 20mm pipe frame. Should one rather look for a type of vibration isolation material that finds a...

    Musicbee - New Version

Naughty, thank you, I appreciate your comments. Your conclusion correlates with my own. Steven, the MusicBee developer, argues too that there is no discernable difference in audio output fidelity between WASAPI and ASIO. FYI: I usually double-check the sound configuration settings by opening...

    Musicbee - New Version

@naughty Did you perhaps compare the inherent WASAPI audio output fidelity of MusicBee with that of ASIO4ALL? If you did, which conclusion did you draw? Thanks.

The Games People Play ? Nuts and the Upshot of Hot and Cold Balls

Sepp Blatter says European draws have been fixed Former FIFA president Sepp Blatter said he had witnessed rigged draws for European football competitions using "hot and cold balls," in an interview with an Argentine newspaper published Monday. Blatter said no draw for a FIFA event had been...

    Joke for the day

Pressed for details by the interviewer, Blatter elaborated: "You put the balls in the refrigerator beforehand. Just by comparing one and the other when you touch them you can tell the cold balls from the hot. When you touch them, you know what they are."

Nice one, but probably the only way the topic can truly be fixed is by axing all the nuts.

The Games People Play ? Being a Really Great Female Athlete Just Got Harder

June 12, 2016 The International Olympic Committee (which has had an impossible task of keeping performance enhancing drugs out of the systems of their athletes) has now sanctioned that men (complete with genitalia given at birth) will be allowed to compete against women. The IOC believes that...

Sorry, I do not recall, because it's been some time since I last used their services. It is probably best to check their sites for the latest info. Here is a quick look at Imgur's image removal policy: http://imgur.com/removalrequest Photobucket operates TinyPic. Removal policy: "If you are...

Importing Direct? | The SARS Customs & Excise Tariffs | The Duties You'll Pay

@raj My immediate guess is that you will have to declare the item as an "export" for repairs to Customs & Excise (C&E) on some form, and put a value to it. Then upon return "import", you submit this form to C&E. Best is probably to call C&E, or email them for advice on this.

    Li-Fi

"Expect to hear a whole lot more about Li-Fi - a wireless technology that transmits high-speed data using visible light communication (VLC) - in the coming months. With scientists achieving speeds of 224 gigabits per second in the lab using Li-Fi earlier this year, the potential for this...

A Choice of NAS-devices | Which One Do You Prefer and Why?

Thank you for your input, dieretuin. The ZFS-option by Sun Microsystems looks like a good option, especially with its data protection focus. Which brand of HDD are the 4 x 3TB? Has the array been subjected to a heavy or a light duty cycle over the 2 years?

Thanks, I will look into Snapraid. I would really like to know if somebody has applied any of these types of array their system, and if they encountered any disk or data loss during its application- and how long after its inception. [EDIT: SnapRAID] FYI: 32-bit and 64-bit Windows version...
