Amp and bar fridge on same electric socket

I live in a residence, so I have to plug my bar fridge and amp in on the same socket, but every time the fridge kicks in, the speakers makes a popping sound. Will this spike be able to damage a tweeter, one of my recently acquired Wharfedale 9.1's tweeters started scratching on the first day I...

Hi-Phibian hooked me up with the AKG Q701's, it's exactly what I wanted, more than satisfied! ;D

    New addition to collection

I don't think Stax falls within my budget constraints, or do they? I can't find a price in SA for them on the internet. If I can't find used AKG 701, I think I'll go the import route, they look like the best fit

    New addition to collection

I agree, at some point I will replace the 595 for a 650. Has anyone tried any Audio Technica headphones, except the M50? Where can I find an AKG 701 secondhand?

    New addition to collection

I haven't experienced them personally, but it feels more like a lateral move than an upgrade.  I suppose they have to be a bit better

I'm not sure if the 598 is an improvement over the 595, except for the wooden inserts... :P

    New addition to collection

I have one of those that Tangmonster built, at the moment it is more than adequate, not sure for hd650's though. What about something from Audio Technica or AKG, I have never experienced the hd650's, but a secondhand pair would probably provide the best value for money.

    New addition to collection

Bearing in mind that I'm a student and limited to something in the range of R3000. The hd-800 is at the moment a story for another day...

    New addition to collection

I already own the Sennheiser hd 595, Grado SR60i and Sennheiser hd25-ii. Can anyone recommend a preferably open headphone that is good with vocals and piano?

Can you also mod the Sennheiser 595 like this, would it be worth it?

    Sennheiser 595 Amp

Does the JDS Labs cmoy have a warm sound? It looks cool, maybe I'll get that for my Grado's. Tangmonster hooked me up with a desktop amp, more than satisfied.

    Sennheiser 595 Amp

I have the Sennheiser 595's and I'm currently playing it through my Creative Xfi Platinum. It reaches any volume with ease, but I can't help but thinking they can sound better. Can you guys recommend a solution, should I buy the Asus Xonar Essence, an external DAC, or just an amp. I'm not...
