Thanks no worries, I already have two 2x4 single ended. The input limit is selectable via jumpers, 0.9V (Rev. A) or 2.0V (Rev B), but as I understand it, output is always 0.9V.

Hi So these have been "semi" completed, not the best lookers in terms of traditional speakers, but they're different... I'm quite impressed with their sound, although I haven't had a lot of experience with other 2-way speakers with similar drivers, they sound good to me, fair to compare...

If the transformer isn't dead, could it be cheaper to repair it than replace? These items shouldn't be too complicated inside, bridge rectifier, some semiconductors and a few capacitors, all relatively cheap to replace if those components have failed.

Can a PC power supply do the trick? They can deliver quite a lot of current on the 12V rail relatively cheaply, something like a 600W PSU, the label on my 650W PSU says it can do 25A  :thinking:

Black does look good, and the ones in the first pic was assembled really nicely. BUT, the guy who assembled those used the nosecone from a rocket if I recall reading about them on the forums. Not exactly a cheap solution, but the finished product looks great. Been raining all day, not good for...

As far as I've read, no... pipe acts as a diffuser. The final build will have Acoustastuff behind the full range driver and in the bass tube. While researching the LXMini, I've found articles where different drivers were used in a LXMini "clone". I think the guy replaced the full range driver...

The center of the full range driver stands about 102cm from the ground. For me, that ear level while seated on the couch, perfect  :)

Hi Not sure how I came across the Linkwitz Lab website, but the LXMini's looked like an easy and interesting (perhaps not WAF approved) build. Also saw some good reviews on them, so while I was away on business in the US, I snapped up the oppotrunity to get the kit from Madisound whilst saving...

Various models of Skullcandy Aviators, R899, cant vouch for the retailer though. My ears tell me they sound miles better than say Sennheiser HD-202 / HD-205 which you can easily listen to at your nearest Dion Wired. I don't mind listening to these over HD-595's...
