at the risk of you building something other than a kit, and it not turning out quite like you expected, I would say go with a kit instead. Its tried and tested and its something you will probably like. After that you can build from scratch

I owned the Autona power amp years back, lights use to dim when I switched on that beast. Had that driving two Terminator 15" woofers. DANG! I have plenty of heatsinks, decent ones, so thats not a problem.

I will contact them and ask what they charge for the boards only, if they sell just the boards. Thanx

I dont think you can get a brushed metal finish with any spray paint job. Unless you are prepared to paint it :-) This sounds more like a anodized aluminium part that has a brushed finish. Can you post some pics of the part you would like to redo?

The actual box build and design/style is not the problem. The problem is, finding the correct internal volume for your specific speaker. Doubt we can get TS parameters for use in box design software as the speaker was designed to be used in the ceiling, requiring no box. To0 get the TS...

I havent been palying around with WINISd that much, but I have played around with BassBox Pro, and port length does make a difference. Round or square not. Longer port length alters the tuning frequency, tuning it lower than with a shorter port.

Let me get this right. You want to take the audio out of the tv, and feed that into 2 x active subwoofers? MADNESS!!!!!! As far as I know, most tv's have a rca in and not a rca out. What you should do is use a dac to convert the optical out to rca and then plug that into the subs. Either way...
