what would just a plain blank chassis cost, 10mm front plate and handles? I have a huge heatsink that I was gonna use inside my chassis

Good idea making a chassis design. Finances don't allow for such a piece of kit for me. I always liked a power Amp that had a beefy thick look to it. Plain front chassis leaves space for add-ons like VU meters. Would still be nice to see what you guys come up with

Ari, do you have any links for the Prasi psu board

Multiply Ac secondary voltage by 1.414. So in your case 30 x 1.414 = 42.42. Bear in mind our Ac voltage source ain't the most stable source

Would one of you like to start a thread in group buys for this? I'm not always able to get online, so best to let someone with a more stable connection start it. As for psu boards, soft start and protection,  I'm sorted with those.

I think it's R700 setup once off. Let me mail her on Monday and see exactly how this works for let's say 10 boards.

Revival! It's been a while since I built anything, lots of goings on, still is. Without a problematic vehicle, I can spend my 2 off days per month doing something I like. And as I have 95% of the parts, this Amp is going to be it. So I have requested a quote from WH Circuits for the boards for...

    port tubes

Used the exact same method shown by Orciah many a times. It works really well and can be filled and smoothed with body filler. Orcish images shows chipboard, but when using mdf it looks slot nice. A few videos on YouTube showing how to flare the pipe using your motchies hairdryer and a bowl...

Very nice indeed. I have a huge, heavy chunk of aluminium heatsink that I have been meaning to use. Might tackle something like this, and use the huge trafos I have here for it. Build one super heavy monster

    Car battery charger

Good day manne Not audio related in anyway, but Im hoping somebody has a circuit/pcb layout for a car battery charger. Doesnt have to be anything exotic, but must have a cut off when battery is fully charged. Possible floating voltage after that would be nice. I would like to charge upto 100ah...

Amp build for a young DJ

ja no, tape deck was used for background music only, never could mix with it  Yep back in teh day, a secondhand sl1200 would set you back a pretty damn penny. ribust to say the least. For me any turntable would do, squeezing the spindle provided enough of a speed drop to get it close...
