Hi Gavin, yes both pots fully open and XLR input. Great sounding amp. Far better than the Nemo's.  The JC1'S are in a totally different league though. I think at this level, its no longer about synergy,  but just how good and amplifier is at accurately reproducing music.

So last night was nice and long, in-between doing a report for work, i managed to get quite a few hours of critical listening in. The EC 600 warmd up nicely and sounded reasonably good. There was just something missing and the bass was dry and thin sounding after hearing the JC1'S. After...

Hee Hee yeh, they are big buggers, but still half the size of the 610T. Oh and by the way, The EC sound significantly better after an hour of warm up!

Hi Tony, yes they are very special amps. It will be very interesting to hear them against the JC1'S. I just got confirmation that the mighty VA Genesis Mono blocks will be arriving on Sunday. They are supposed to be very special as well.

So Tomorrow will be a very interesting day..................... I have a pair of Mola Mola Kaluga power amps arriving along with with a pair of EC Nemo 600 and a stereo version of the JC1+ to try out. I will have these for 4 or 5 days and look forward to hearing what they each have to offer...

Absolutely, they do 10 watts in class A and as much as 25 watts in class A in hi bias mode. I have done some serious listening with the JC1+ now and they are incredible amplifiers. Rather expensive though, but our Rand does'nt help in that department. Craig who brought them over did say the EC...
