So what you are saying is, strip a bit of the enamell, solder a set length onto it, seal with heatshrink and start winding? Would heatshrink even be okay to to join that copper wire?

Thanx guys. Youtube makes things look so easy. Winding how ever many meters of 1mm wire through a 40mm hole was my last option. I think for now Im going to run it as is, until I can get something a bit stronger at a later stage. Would be awesome if someone would trade there 15-0-15 200VA trafo...
