@Tzs503gp Morning Leo. Thanks for your thoughts @AlleyCat. I have measured the YGs on their own, and as you say, the in room measurements do not reflect the specifications. Either I am measuring incorrectly, or, as I have come to understand- thats the real world scenario with any speaker in a...

I have the original Carmels. But I’m also using two separate sealed 15” drivers for the low end. The combination is a 3 way with an active LF. I’m using an active crossover after my DAC, feeding the HF amplifier to the YGs, and another amplifier to the woofer boxes. The fact that my MF&HF are...

The question I want to raise though, based on the premise this exercise was borne of: so how does my system sound? I’m trying to approach this from a non-threatening, but informative perspective. From the measurements Ive furnished here: 1.How do you reconcile my highly detailed soundstage? 2...

OK, so I see my decay is above 500ms for most of the curve, rising as high as lower 700ms range, correct? Does the size of my room not mitigate some of that excess decay time? As I understand it, the larger the room, the more time is acceptable for decay?

I’m glad you mention it @AlleyCat. It presents an opportunity for me to say “please explain this- I don’t get what I’m looking at”🙈

I think you are correct Stefan, about the balance between the bass and that upper mid bump. I am aware that my bass levels are elevated, but for now, I get great satisfaction from it. Of greater concern to me regarding bass is the timing, over the actual amplitude response.

One thing I cannot account for here, is the fact that I use Audirvana, and I upsample. There is a marked difference in SQ doing so. I haven’t figured out how to take a measurement with REW through Audirvana.

My speakers baffles are approximately 500mm from the front wall. Important to remember that the speakers are sealed/IB. They do not suffer the negatives associated with BR close to the wall, and at the same time benefit from reduced SBIR by the close proximity to the wall. Edit: I may have...

I have learned that too JonnyP. These graphs only indicate basics. There are aspects of what my system does that I cannot reconcile in these graphs. Im the first to admit that I do not yet grasp all the functionality of REW, and the things it measures.
