Any new ways to get Qobuz in SA?

Hmm, it could be that Roon knows that Qobuz is not available in ZA. When I went to add Qobuz to my Sonos app, it wasn't there. And their support told me because it's not supported in ZA, they can't make it available due to their commercial agreement with Qobuz. Fortunately, Bluesounds doesn't...

Any new ways to get Qobuz in SA?

I made the offer on myBB, so it's only fair that I do it here as well: when I am next in Porto, I will glady help anyone here setup a Qobuz account

Any new ways to get Qobuz in SA?

^ Zero buffering in just over an hour of playback, with YT running in 2160p on the TV at the same time, setting up another laptop with Windows Updates/software downloads, etc. ^ this is probably the likeliest explanation for the buffering. I do have a 250/250 line though

Any new ways to get Qobuz in SA?

Nevermind, we had missed the Visa verification, so I only had access to samples. Sorted out the payment and now everything is playing 100%: no buffering/skipping to report so far. Also, now that the account has been created, I can access my full profile from here without any issues. And as a...

Any new ways to get Qobuz in SA?

OK, just got my mate in Porto to open an account for me. But when I play stuff on my T778 via Bluesound, it plays 10-15s then skips to the next track.

Any new ways to get Qobuz in SA?

Yep. I live part-time in Portugal, so I will sign up there, and then use the SmartDNS VPN Proxy to stream it when I'm in ZA. I have a Mikrotik router here, so I'm looking at how I can direct all qobuz traffic via a specific VPN tunnel, while everything else runs normally.

First Impressions: PSB Alpha iQ speakers

Quite right Ken, I swapped them around and same behaviour. I then did an Audio Reset, just in case the L-R balance the app was displaying was not in sync with the setting inside the amp, and it fixed it. (y)

First Impressions: PSB Alpha iQ speakers

One of the annoying things about these speakers is that you cannot modify the source volume to compensate for louder/softer inputs, like you can on the T778. For example, my TV plays a lot softer than BluOS streaming, and switching from TV to streaming means that suddenly it's crazy loud. I...

At the moment the speakers are at knee height when we're sitting in front of the TV. Should I get speaker stands to elevate the speakers to be a bit closer to the same height as our ears?

First Impressions: PSB Alpha iQ speakers

Not sure whether it's a feature or a bug in the system, but there seems to be a biais towards the 'main' speaker: in my setup, the main/primary speaker is on the left, and the volume seems to be slightly higher there than on the secondary/right speaker. A bit of playing around with the balance...

First Impressions: PSB Alpha iQ speakers

Off the bat, the sound is crisp, clear, and surprisingly, the bass is really, really good - not something I expected from such small speakers. Bear in mind that I'm comparing this setup to my 'real' one: PSB T2s & SVS PB1000 sub on a T778.
