    Yeah, I spoke too soon: it popped again about an hour ago, this on the second day of full operation after a 24H shutdown. it's almost as if it's a capacitor(s) that cannot discharge normally, and after a while it causes a circuit overload.

    ok, this is most odd: last night I unplugged the AVR from the DSTV decoder so that we could watch F1. This morning I decided to switch it on again to listen to some music. It's been on for over an hour and so far no pops/clicks. Could the DSTV decoder and/or the HDMI cable be the cause?

    It wasn't a replacement, the surround amp modules were replaced with new ones. Now as soon as I switch it on, it pops and switches off. So leaving it off for now.

    *sigh* for the past week or so, there have been random pops/clicks when it's in operation - the sound is a bit like when you pop bubble-wrap. Some of them are very faint, some are loud, and once or twice they have been very loud. I've done the usual power cycling, unplug & replug everything...

    I listen to Qobuz almost all day, and I've used it in South Africa, Mauritius, Portugal, Sweden, and Netherlands. No buffering, I don't use a VPN. Could be ISP-related?
