Iv'e been using my pc sound card (asus xonar D2X) but always seem to get some static feedback with my recordings.

Would i be able to use the dragonfly to record sound from an external device eg. turntables/dj mixer/cdj's (using recording software like sony sound forge/audacity)?

I would go for the MA's hands down!! And it comes in that fancy white gloss finish :drool:

HDMI version won't make a difference cause the source (Bluray player/PS3 etc.) does all the HD decoding and is sent via hdmi cable, or so iv'e been told.

Yup and it cleary states on the box/cover that it's Dolby TrueHD!!

Yeah you spot on with the Dark knight BD...tried a few more BD's last night and it seems to be working fine now.Still having issues with 2 movies, Swordfish & The Fifth Element.There seems to be no option on the sound menu to change from Digital to True HD on the mentioned BD's??!! Confusing...

Ok got everything up and running smoothly on the PS3.Only issue i'm currently experiencing is when playing Dolby TrueHD files.When playing DTS-HD MA movies the PS3 picks it up DTS-HD MA but when playing Dolby True HD is shows it as Dolby Digital?? Is this normal??

The Yammie only has the V1.2a HDMI...would that be an issue as iv'e heard/read that dts-hd/dolby trueHD is only played on V1.3 or higher??

Ok great will have to check the Yammie manual! Not so easy looking for a blu-ray player that has multi channel outputs :o

Looking at the Sony BDP-S480 but slightly confused.What Hi*Fi lists it as not decoding any of the new formats but the Sony website states that it does??!!

Any retailers in the JHB area that deal with these cables??
